Pretty Decent Thor Helmet
Got my first big pack of foam from Lowe's and knew just what to make. Have wanted a nice one since I got the cheap costume version from Party City for the Avengers premier at the theater. It's not as clean as I would like, but it's absolutely not bad for the first time using this thicker material. Gotta work on my seams, but I like it pretty good. And yes, I purposely made the side wings a tad smaller than perfectly accurate... I have a big enough head as it is.
Got the base shape from a hair-lightening cap; used the hot toys version I have as majoy reference; also used mom's wood-burning tool to give the indenting lines. Should've used a "dremel" apparently, but you work with what you got. Silver spray paint, hot glue, heat gun, and black acrylic finish up the list of ingredients to make your own Thor helmet.
