Seeing him onstage moving around was one of the cutest things ever! Sure, mine doesn't move, but I saw him and thought it would be pretty cool to have one up to scale sitting in the corner of a room somewhere. I still need to add little spots of blue or red where some lights are, and it doesn't have the two antennae yet, but all weathered makes it look close to complete, so I had to go ahead and post some photos.
This one took a long time due to paints not actually drying according to plan. I also wish the styrofoam had turned out smoother, but such is life (don't spray paint styrofoam!). So, it is made of a bouncy ball from walmart, a foam dome and extra layer (for the bevel) from michaels, several kinds of paints and paintpens, and some brushed-metal contact paper; also, the two eyes/lenses are made of a ping pong ball, half a plastic easter egg, and some craft foam detailing... process pix below
